Exciting News......

Well I have some really exciting news to share with everyone.........

I am having another baby!!!

We are all very excited - including our beautiful 4 1/2 year old. As you can see from the counter on the side I have a while to go. here is a bit of my journey so far

We were on holidays with my mum and dad in Tasmania, when I was due for a period which had not arrived. I was very moody and feeling rather unusual but blamed unsettled hormones. I had already taken a test which showed a negative result so was convinced that this was not to be the month for success. I had to visit a chemist for an ear infection so picked up a pregnancy test thinking again it would be one blue line and be negative. IU took the test and much to my surprise and excitement there were two blue lines. I wanted to contain my excitement because until i had been to my GP to be double sure I was not sharing the news with anyone other than my beautiful husband. he promptly gave me the biggest smile and a gorgeous kiss.

6 Weeks and 2 Days

The day after we arrived home I had an appointment booked for a dating scan at the hospital. At this scan I saw my tiny baby - looked just like a peanut. I was 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant.

8 Weeks and 2 Days

Apart from feeling constantly exhausted I cruised along nicely until I hit the 8 week mark where in a matter of 5 days I had three bleeds. Very scary and I really wondered what I outcome was going to be. I went for a another scan - still what they call a viable pregnancy. Baby was exactly where it needed to be a I was now 8 weeks and 2 days. At this time I was advised by my GP to stop work and have complete rest. How hard is this for someone who is used to been so active. Well i wanted to do what was best so rest it was. I have really struggled to eat. Food is so not appealing. My Doctor has put my on anti nausea tablets so that i can try and consume some good nutrients for a growing baby.

9 Weeks and 1 Day

I fly to Perth today and ready to meet my Obstetrician for the first time tomorrow. I am really nervous as I have no idea what to expect. By the time 4pm comes around, Tucker and I head to our hotel room, order room service for dinner and stay put. I am absolutely exhausted.

9 Weeks and 2 Days

We sleep in which is not such a great start to the day - we rush through showers breakfast and still make it to our appointment in Duncraig on time.... phew!!!!
Immediately after I enter my Obstetricians clinic i feel at ease, the receptionist has a beautiful personality, his midwife is so caring and I immediately know i have made the right choice. There is SO much paper work to complete, but once that is done I am in with the man who will deliver our baby.
His name is Cliff Neppe and I am so happy that he is the person who will bring our little babe into this world. I had a very difficult birth with Tucker, so all of this detail was explained and much to my relief ( as i really did not want a repeat performance), he said there would be no way he would take the chance for a "normal" birth. There is no way of knowing whether the difficulties I had with Tucker would reappear with this birth. The baby will be born via c-section at Glengarry Hospital at 38 weeks. What a relief.
We flew home in the afternoon - never again while pregnant will I do an overnighter to Perth. By the time we got home I was so exhausted - i managed scrambled eggs on a slice of toast for dinner and then hit the couch with my pillow.

9 Weeks and 3 Days

Today for the first time in many many weeks I have felt quite normal. I even managed a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. I went to the hairdressers and had my hair done today - maybe that has helped because my hair looks respectable again.  I am starting to feel a bit on the tired side right now but not as bad as it has been.

I had better go, Tucker is hungry after a busy day at school.

Thanks Lia for your message. I too was struggling to keep it off my blog but with the few hassles I had I thought it best to wait until I had seen the specialist yesterday. xxx
