On the mend

Rest, Rest and more rest is what I have had this weekend. Knew if i did not stop and listen to my body, things were going to continue on a out of control downward spiral. Obviously I listened well because it is late Sunday afternoon and I am feeling much better.
I have not trained all weekend which I have really missed - and I mean really missed, but from the rest I have had I am going to resume training tomorrow, but in a careful manner.
Mike and I bought Tucker a trampoline - he has had so much fun on it in just 2 days - well worth the investment. I even had a jump today - brings back childhood memories.
Mike arrived home from Japan on Friday - he had a great trip - covered lots of ground in a just a few days, but got everything done that he needed to. He bought back the most beautiful hand painted ornamental fan, some perfume, a T-shirt and wall hanging for Tucker. We missed him a lot, so we are loving having him home.
It's meal time again for me and I have a rather tired three year old (all that jumping has worn him out) wanting my attention.

I'm glad to hear you're on the mend. Listening to your body is so very important Maryanne. xxx

Thank you Lia,
have not been so good (actually should say really bad) at listening to my body in the past so it was a little hard for me but it must have worked because I feel so much better. This is good because it means when the time comes next I will straight away know what to do. Lets just hope the next time is not so soon. xoxo

We live and learn. Where as when I threw my back out in my first year my doctor had to sedate me so that I would rest because I told him I was heading straight back to the gym to finish training. LOL!! Not very bright in retrospect I know but I was very passionate about achieving my goals. xxx

That sounds very similar to me - after I went to Doctor on Friday I trained!!!!! Maybe he should have sedated me.
I am very passionate and determined to make this comp. Competed before but was not in a good head space. This time the journey is so different even if I have had a couple of hurdles to overcome. xxx

It wouldn't be a challenge if there weren't hurdles Maryanne. ;o) xxx
